Inside The GMC Granite Concept

A while back we had a post about the concept for the GMC Granite. They unveiled and tested it at a few autoshows and the feedback was hugely positive. GM is trying to put the vehicle into production, but have hit a few snags with the door configuration – the rear swinging back door with no door pillar is presenting a problem with crash tests, so they are working on a way to keep the pillar-less door with a strengthened frame. This is one we’d love to see on our lot someday soon so here’s hoping they can find a solution!
