GMC Sierra: The Most Advanced Pickup In The World
If you’re in search of outstanding V8 fuel efficiency in a half-ton pickup, you’ll find it in Sierra 1500 with the XFE Fuel Efficiency Package. Or perhaps your goal is the most V8 power and torque you can buy with a Vortec 6.2L V8 – standard in Sierra Denali. And, lest we forget, there’s the only available hybrid drive system in any pickup in the world. Bottom line: when it comes to half-ton powertrains, Sierra is the undisputed champion.
When it comes to handling passengers and cargo at the same time, Sierra performs to the highest standards. And should your plans include hard-core off-road work, the available All Terrain Package deserves serious consideration. It features such robust components as Z71 Off-Road Suspension, an automatic locking rear differential, extended-travel Rancho® shock absorbers and skid plates to protect your truck’s underbody from rocks, debris and the like.
Choose a Sierra WT or SLE and your new truck will feature a spacious, attractive cabin designed with an eye for practicality and on-the-job durability. Or opt for a Sierra SLT or Denali and experience a luxury-inspired interior with leather seat inserts and all the comforts and conveniences you would expect in a premium sedan. Regardless of the model you choose, you and your passengers will enjoy a quiet, controlled ride in a cabin notable for both its versatility and its quality.
GMC’s clever design makes Sierra a rare pleasure to live with. Case in point: the instrument panel. It’s positioned down and away so you enjoy a greater sense of space and a clearer view forward. For added convenience and safety, SLT, Denali and Hybrid models feature steering-wheel-mounted controls for the audio system, so you can make adjustments without taking your hands off the wheel – or your eyes off the road.
GMC Terrain: Simply Brilliant
As you might expect, Terrain showcases the latest in technology, with features like Direct Injection, Variable Valve Timing (VVT), Stabilitrak, and a fuel saving 6-speed automatic transmission. Every Terrain model also features a sophisticated chassis loaded with premium components.
The goal: to create a crossover that would perform without punishing owners at the pump. The result: equipped with the standard 182 hp ECOTEC 2.4L four-cylinder engine, Terrain drivers enjoy more power and better highway fuel efficiency than Ford Escape, Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V.** A sophisticated six-speed automatic transmission is standard and the ECOTEC 2.4L engine includes an ECO mode that boosts efficiency when it’s selected by the driver.
Do your plans include a trip to the mall? Tackling a renovation project? Maybe packing up for a weekend at the lake? In a world of ever-changing needs, Terrain is designed to adapt to the challenge at hand. With the Multi-FlexTM rear seat adjusted forward, there’s almost 900 litres of space in the cargo bay. That more than doubles if you fold the 60/40 split-folding rear seat. And a low 735 mm liftover height makes loading and unloading any kind of cargo a simple matter.
On the road, Terrain spoils its occupants with impressive comfort and very low levels of noise and vibration. The cabin is trimmed in fine materials – including, if you wish, perforated leather-appointed seating surfaces -accented with contrasting stitching. There’s adjustable lumbar support for the driver’s seat and premium comfort for your rear passengers as well, thanks to a Multi-Flex second-row seat that adjusts backwards and forwards by 200 mm (7.9 inches).
Clearly influenced by the world of modern design, Terrain puts drivers at ease with warm ambient lighting, excellent visibility, and controls designed and positioned in accordance with ergonomic principles. Advanced systems – including a standard Rearview Camera System, OnStar® and available Bluetooth® mobile phone connectivity – put up-to-the-second high-tech functionality at your fingertips. The result is a fresh, attractive driver interface that encourages a high level of confidence and control.

GMC Yukon: Impossible But True
Imagine, if you will, a full-size SUV with uncompromised performance, seating for eight and a trailer rating up to 2812 kg (6200 lb.) Now imagine that vehicle achieves better city fuel efficiency than much smaller vehicles such as the Volkswagen Passat and Ford Fusion, even when they’re equipped with four-cylinder engines. Sound impossible? The visionary engineers at GMC made it a reality. Yukon Hybrid. Impossible no more.
Yukon Denali and Yukon XL Denali are towering achievements in their own right. Visually they’re a statement of unabashed capability and confidence, with bold polished 20-inch aluminum wheels and bright honeycomb upper and lower grilles. Full-time all-wheel drive and a comfortable yet controlled AutoRideTM suspension are standard, as is a heavy-duty cooling package that’s perfect for those planning on taking advantage of Yukon Denali’s 3674 kg (8100 lb.) towing capability. Motivation comes from an advanced 403 horsepower Vortec 6.2L V8 teamed with a fuel-saving six-speed automatic transmission with Driver Shift Control.
Inside Yukon Denali or Yukon XL Denali, you’re surrounded by the best of everything. The perforated leather-appointed front bucket seats are both heated and cooled, featuring power 12-way seat adjusters and 2-position driver’s seat memory. The second-row seats are heated and feature a power fold-and-tumble system that tucks them out of the way at the touch of a button. A DVD navigation system is available and Bluetooth® hands-free mobile phone connectivity is standard in both models. For your listening pleasure, there is a standard Bose® audio and a USB port that neatly integrates your iPod® with the sound system and even charges its battery while you’re en route.
The more you know about engineering, the more likely it is that you’ll choose a Yukon as your personal SUV. Every Yukon model starts with an amazingly strong, precision-fabricated steel backbone frame and professional-grade truck chassis components, including a coil-over-shock front suspension and a sturdy five-link rear suspension (1500 models), available in a choice of model-specific tunings. And the list of intelligent technologies goes on. Case in point: the grade braking feature integrated into every Yukon transmission. With the keys to a Yukon or Yukon XL in your pocket, you know you can easily handle virtually any combination of people and cargo. Both vehicles can seat up to nine occupants in comfort, and the power release fold-and-tumble second-row seats available on SLT models make accessing the third-row seat a breeze.
