Capability is What Yukon is All About
With the keys to a Yukon or Yukon XL in your pocket, life just seems easier. Take trailer towing, for example. Every Yukon comes with a standard Heavy Duty Trailering Package, including a proper weight-distributing hitch platform, a seven-wire harness and provisions to install a trailer brake controller. Yukon is rated to tow up to 3,856 kg (8,500 lb). Need even more capability? Yukon XL 2500 can tow up to a massive 4,355 kg (9,600 lb). Nothing else in the class can touch it.††
For the big challenges, GMC offers big solutions to Calgary GMC Yukon shoppers. Meet the Yukon family of full-size SUVs. These are serious, professional-grade trucks, built on robust, high-strength steel frame rails and with genuine VortecTM V8 engines under the hood. If you're looking for a GMC Yukon in Bow Island, or a Yukon in Taber or Oyen or even Saskatchewan, know that Davis GMC Buick in Medicine Hat has you covered. Come check out what makes us different from other Alberta GMC Dealers.

Unstoppable Force
Yukon just doesn't know the meaning of the word "can't". Engine choices start with the standard 320 hp 5.3L VortecTM V8 and range all the way up to the 403 hp 6.2L VortecTM engine found in Denali models. You've got all the muscle you need and to help make sure all that force reaches the road; a heavy-duty Eaton® automatic locking rear differential is standard on every model. A Yukon isn't about to let a little bad weather stop it, either. Autotrac electronic four-wheel drive is available on SLE, SLT and Hybrid SLT models and standard on Hybrid Denali. Non-hybrid Denali models feature a full-time all-wheel drive system.

Hybrid Efficiency Meets Yukon Capability
The only hybrid-powered full-size SUVs you can buy, Yukon Hybrid SLT and Yukon Hybrid Denali offer genuine GMC capability, seating for up to eight and a trailer rating of up to 2,812 kg (6,200 lb).** Yet, in city driving, Yukon Hybrid 2WD consumes just 10.1L of fuel per 100 km — less than V6-powered sedans like the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Ford Fusion.† To make it happen, GMC's engineers created a highly advanced two-mode hybrid system, incorporating a 300-volt nickel-metal hydride Energy Storage System (ESS), an advanced Electronically Variable Transmission (EVT) and a regenerative braking system.

Any Challenge, Anywhere, Any Time
Yukon and Yukon XL are designed to handle life's day-to-day challenges in style. Should you ever have the need, there's enough room inside to seat the starting lineup of a baseball team. Every passenger rides in real comfort, too, thanks to such amenities as tri-zone climate control and a quality sound system. Of course, Yukon and Yukon XL can also be quickly and easily reconfigured when it's time to haul serious cargo. Yukon's maximum cargo capacity is 3,084 litres and Yukon XL's is a best-in-class 3,891 litres.†† Both interiors also pass the ultimate utility test: carrying 4' x 8' sheets of building material.
|
Denali: Life at the Top
Named for North America's tallest mountain, Yukon Denali and Yukon XL Denali are designed for those who settle only for the best. With their trademark Denali honeycomb grilles, gleaming 20-inch chromed aluminum wheels and standard body-colour assist steps, these are vehicles that turn heads. They're brilliant performers, too. The sophisticated 403 hp VortecTM 6.2L V8 under the hood is the most powerful engine in any full-size SUV. Yet it actually uses less fuel, both in the city and on the highway, than the less muscular engines you'll find in the Ford Expedition, Nissan Armada and Toyota Sequoia.† On the inside, Yukon Denali and Yukon XL Denali offer a uniquely satisfying brand of luxury and style. It all adds up to a towering achievement.
