Davis Auto Group acquires Airdrie Motors

The Davis Auto Group acquired its ninth Alberta dealership on July 3, 2012. Airdrie Motors, owned since 1986 by Lynden Heron, was officially taken over by his good friend and Davis Auto Group president, John Davis. Davis’ sons Tim, Mike and Luke were on hand to open the store, now called Davis Chevrolet GMC Buick.

“The potential of this Airdrie car dealership is unbelievable and we couldn’t be more excited about this new opportunity,” says Tim Davis, partner in the Davis Auto Group and dealer principal of Davis GMC Buick in Medicine Hat.

All staff of Airdrie Motors was retained in the ownership transition and will be learning the “Davis Way” over the coming weeks. Mike Davis, Davis Auto Group partner and dealer principal of Davis GMC Buick in Lethbridge, will oversee operations during the height of the change process.
